Wild in Art events champion the importance of creative art for all, and its inspirational social, cultural and educational value for young people.
The Pride of Paisley’s education programme will provide all the participating school children with an exceptional chance to play their part in creating a major, celebratory event for their home town.
Creative sessions with teachers and professional artists will spark imaginative design ideas, which will then be transferred onto mini lion sculptures – teaching the children art techniques and allowing them to explore the process of creating their own collective artwork.
As part of The Pride of Paisley summer trail, their mini lions will be displayed inside venues along the route – encouraging people to get together, explore their town on foot and enjoy lion spotting! Ultimately, it’s extra special for children to know that their efforts will help raise the profile of ACCORD Hospice and St Vincent’s Hospice, ahead of the finale Charity Auction.
